The sculptor, John Somerville , has finished the making of the statue. Spike’s 3 daughters, Jane and Sile (in Barnet)and Laura (coming all the way from Australia) will be viewing for final approval. We will be visiting the foundry next month and hopefully we will have enough money for the casting. Meanwhile John is busy moulding small bits of the statue for casting. There is one major problem which we are studying at the moment and that is finding a deterrent for thieves, once the statue is in place. Barbara Warren
